What is love anyway
I think that when Irwin Federman says that people love others not for who they are but for how they make them feel, I think that he speaks the truth to a certain point. I think that people love others for multiple reasons. Some people do go by that but most go by both of those facts. There are even some people out there who go by looks. I think that if you find someone who you really like but you don't know enough about them, then you should get to know them better. If you feel that you already know enough about them, but you don't like the way they look, then you should consider seeing other people. If you like the way a person looks but don't like the way they make you feel, then you probably shouldn't see that person. If you don't like a person for who they are but how they make you feel, then you should make them aware of your concerns. If you like them for who they are but they make you feel terrible, then you should probably avoid that person. For example, my girlfriend and i get along just fine. We both like each other for the way we make each other feel and each for who we are. I am always able to make her laugh and she is always able to cheer me up when I am depressed or under a lot of stress. We both have a great chemistry and we love each other very much. That is why I say to an extent.

Just by looking
Now, I am not someone who usually judges a person by what they look like. There are some exceptions however. If there are certain looks about a person that makes you weary, then you should observe who they hang out with and what they do on a daily basis. Some people say that you can tell a lot about a person just by what they look like. I however, disagree. I think that if there is a certain person who catches your eye in either a good or a bad way, then you should take the time to observe who they hang out with and what they do with those friends during school or maybe even after school. After you have maybe learned a little more about them or even have a strong reason to judge what kind of person they are, you should take the time to talk to them and maybe get to know them a little better. If after talking to them, you find out that they are actually a goodhearted person, then you should maybe consider hanging out with them and their friends. If you find out that they are a terrible person, then you should probably be cautious of them and their friends. If you still are not sure about them, then you should maybe consider meeting their friends to find out more about them. By doing this, you could possibly have one or more new friends. It would probably benefit you and them.

Time traveler
If I could chose to go back to any time period I would chose to go back to the mid 1960s. I would go back to that time period so I could see what life was like back then. The first place that I would probably go was to St. Elmo where my grandpa and his brother grew up. I was never able to meet my uncle. His name first name was James, which is how my middle name was determined. I have only seen pictures of him but from what I could tell he was a great guy. He and my grandpa were really close from what I could tell from the pictures. They did almost everything together by the looks of it. I have seen pictures of him and my grandpa having a good time together. In one of the pictures, they were attempting to call the president. I would really enjoy getting the chance to actually see my uncle. I would enjoy the chance to get to know him. If I went back to that time period to meet my uncle, I would also get to see my grandpa when he was much younger. That is my reasoning behind going back to the mid 1960s.
Another time period that I would also like to travel back too would be the year 1998. My grandma died from cancer in February of 2000. The doctors thought that she had been living with the cancer for two years. That is how it was explained to me however. If I went back to 1998 I might’ve been able to figure something out about it and maybe even do something about the situation. I think that it is very possible that I would’ve been able to save my grandmas life. If so then I might possibly have her and my grandpa still today.

Stranded
If I went on a hiking trip with some friends, I don’t think that I would somehow manage to separate myself from them. If I did manage to achieve that level of stupidity however, the first thing that I would do is think about where I had been. I would think about all of the possible places that I could have separated from the rest of the group. I would then think about a possible idea for their destination. I would instantly think of some of the place that they could have stopped to rest or take a break of some sort. I would then think about where our means of transportation was located. I would then think about where the nearest and largest path or trail was situated. I am the type of person who would only take my phone and bring some food and water. I would also make sure that I had a couple of Gatorade's and at least two energy drinks with me. From my years of experience with endurance running, I would definitely be able to make a long hike. I would then try to contact one of the members of my group to find out where they were at and set up a meeting point. If I could not get a hold of at least one of them, then I would start walking and leave some sort of trail to know where I’ve been and leave some type of note to tell my friends where I was at if they happened to come across my trail. I would also be sure to count the number of how many steps I took in each direction and record it in some way. I would also retrace my steps a little bit. I would then continually repeat this process until I was in some way reunited with my group.
